About Fitted & How It Works
What is Fitted?
Fitted is a subscription-based (or one-time) kids’ shoe service that takes the stress out of shopping. We know kids’ feet grow fast and every brand (and even style) fits differently. That’s why we do the work for you—curating high-quality, well-fitting shoes for every season and stage. Each box is personalized with your child’s name and feels like a gift when it arrives—bright, colorful, and even color-on friendly!
Why a shoe subscription?
Because those little feet grow faster than you'd think.
- Babies can size up every 2–4 months,
- Toddlers every 3–4 months, and
- Older kids about every 4–6 months.
Add in seasonal changes and busy schedules, and shoe shopping can feel endless. With Fitted, fresh shoes arrive right when they’re needed: sandals for summer, play shoes for back to school, boots for winter, and more. It’s the easiest way to keep up with growth while saving time, avoiding sizing headaches, and giving your kids shoes they’ll actually wear.
What ages is Fitted for?
Fitted offers boxes from birth through about age 7:
- Little Soles Box: For the first year, covering every stage of early growth.
Seasonal Shoe Boxes: From toddler through around age 7, available in sizes 0 through Little Kid 3.
What comes in a Fitted box?
Each Fitted box includes 2 or 3 pairs of shoes (you choose!) that fit your child’s age, stage, and the season—think sneakers, sandals, boots, and more. Every pair is carefully selected to support growing feet and match the needs of the moment.
But that’s not all:
- Every box is personalized with your child’s name—because it should feel like a gift made just for them.
- The bright, colorful packaging is fun, engaging, and even designed to be colored on for extra playtime.
- And to make it extra special, each box comes with a seasonal surprise—a little treat to delight your child and keep the unboxing experience magical.
- Subscribers also receive a Shoe Sizing Tool and Foot Book in their first box, as a welcome gift.

Every box also includes a seasonal surprise (like bubbles or crayons), is personalized with your child’s name, and comes in bright, colorful packaging that can even be colored on—so it feels like a gift from the moment it arrives. Subscribers also receive a free sizing tool and a foot book with their first box!
How does the process work?

- We send high-quality shoes chosen just for them—based on their size, stage, and the season.
- Boxes ship straight to you three times a year:

If a pair needs a different size, no problem—we’ll happily exchange it. Just reach out and we’ll send you a prepaid shipping label.

How do I know what size my child wears?

But here’s the real magic: we take the headache out of sizing.
Every brand fits differently. Even specific styles within the same brand can run big, small, narrow, or wide—and we know the difference. We’ve done the research (and the trial and error), so you don’t have to. Whether you’re dealing with fast-growing feet, chunky toddler toes, or a hard-to-fit kiddo, we shop and size accordingly—so your box arrives ready to wear, not return.
And with our Fit Guarantee, you can feel confident—we’ll exchange sizes at no cost if needed.
How do I update my child’s size before their next box ships?
If you’re a subscriber, we’ll reach out about a month before your next box ships to confirm your child’s current size. You can update it quickly through our online portal so we always send the best fit.
Do you offer wide or narrow sizes?
We work with brands that offer flexible fits and roomy toe boxes, and we always consider your child’s foot shape when curating their box. If you know your child typically needs a wide or narrow fit, just let us know
Do you offer adaptive-friendly shoes?
We’re always working to make Fitted more inclusive and accessible. If your child needs adaptive-friendly features or has specific foot needs, send us a message—we’ll do our best to select shoes that work for them.
How do you choose which shoes go in my child’s box?
We look at your child’s size, age, developmental stage, and the season to curate a box that’s just right. But we go beyond that. Every brand—and even every shoe style—fits a little differently. Some run wide, others run short, and we’ve done the work to know the difference. We use that insight to shop and size accordingly, so your child’s box arrives with shoes that fit, feel good, and are ready to wear right out of the box. We also consider the environment that you’re living in and the collection as a whole, based on you and your child’s chosen preferences – including the style vibe, favorite colors, brands, etc.
Can I request specific styles or colors?
You’re welcome to share preferences—we love a good hint! While we can’t guarantee every request, we’ll always do our best to curate a box your kiddo (and you) will love.
Pricing, Shipping & Returns
How much does a Fitted box cost?
- 2-shoe box: $109 (subscribers pay $99)
- 3-shoe box: $190 (subscribers pay $175)
The value is equal to or greater than buying these high-quality shoes individually—plus you get free shipping, a welcome gift, and a personalized experience.
Are there any additional fees?
Nope. The price you see is the price you pay. Shipping is free, returns are included if needed, and there are no hidden costs.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, Paypal, and Shop Pay. If you’re using a gift card, just enter the code at checkout.
Can I update my billing or shipping info?
Yes! You can manage everything (payment, size, delivery address, and more) through your online account.
What if a pair doesn’t fit – can I exchange sizes?
We offer a Fit Guarantee. Yes! If any of the pairs doesn’t fit quite right, we’re happy to exchange it for a different size of the same style. Just email us within 14 days of receiving your box and we’ll walk you through next steps. And shipping is on us!

What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery—as long as the shoes are unworn, unmarked, and returned in their original packaging. Because each box is curated as a full set, returns must include all pairs in the box.
✨ Returns are rare. We’ve done the work to understand how different brands and styles fit, so you don’t have to. That means fewer sizing surprises—and fewer returns.
Can I return just one pair or do I have to return the whole box?
Boxes are sold as a full collection. To receive a refund, you’ll need to return the entire box (all pairs included). We’re not able to process partial returns at this time.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! Shipping is always free—whether you’re purchasing a single box or subscribing for the year.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the U.S. only (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). We hope to expand our reach in the future!
When will my box arrive?
Timing depends on whether you’re a subscriber or making a one-time purchase:
- Subscribers: Your seasonal boxes arrive right on schedule.
- Sunny Days: March
- Back to School: July
- Holidays: November
- One-Time or First Orders: Please allow up to 14 days for delivery.
- Sunny Days: Ships anytime March–July
- Back to School: Ships anytime July–October
- Holidays: Ships anytime November–February
✨ We do it this way because every box is shopped and styled individually for your child. Subscriptions ensure your child’s shoes arrive at the start of each season, while one-time boxes can be ordered anytime within their seasonal window. We’ll send you a reminder before each box ships, and tracking details once it’s on the way.

How often will I receive a box?
Subscribers receive three seasonal boxes each year:
- Sunny Days (Spring/Summer): March
- Back to School (Early Fall): July
- Holidays (Winter): November
Can I purchase a one-time box instead of subscribing?
Yes! You can order a single seasonal box anytime. One-time orders ship during their seasonal window. Please allow up to 14 days for delivery

What are the benefits of subscribing?
Subscribers receive:

How do I pause or cancel my subscription?
We understand that life (and kids’ feet!) can change quickly. You can pause or cancel your subscription anytime through your account portal. We just ask that you please do so at least one month prior to your next shoe delivery (before we start shopping for your kid’s shoes). Just log in, and you’ll see options to skip a season, put your subscription on hold, or cancel altogether. If you need a hand, send us a note and we’ll take care of it for you.
Do I get to chose the styles?
You’ll see style and preference selections right on the product page. We use your input plus our expertise to build a thoughtful, curated collection. You’re also welcome to add special requests in the comment box when you order.
What brands do you carry?
We partner with high-quality boutique brands you can’t find everywhere (and are rarely sold online). At Fitted, we bring the boutique to your door. We partner with trusted children’s footwear brands that check all the boxes: comfort, durability, quality materials, and flexible, supportive soles. Every pair is something we are proud to put on our own kids’ feet.

Can I give Fitted as a gift?
Absolutely! A Fitted box makes a thoughtful, practical, and fun gift for birthdays, holidays, or just because. You can send a box directly to the child, and since it’s personalized with their name and arrives in bright, gift-like packaging, it feels extra special.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! You can purchase a gift card for a single box or for a full year of shoes. It’s a great option when you’re not sure of a child’s size—or if you want the parents to weigh in before we curate. Gift cards are delivered by email and include easy instructions for redeeming.
Can I include a gift message?
We love adding personal touches! If you're sending a box as a gift, just drop us a note at checkout or email us with your message—we’ll handwrite a card and include it in the box.
Are there any extras I can add to my order?
Yes! We now offer add-ons—like socks, hair accessories, and more—that you can include in your child’s box to make it even more fun and personalized. And don’t forget: every Fitted box already comes with a seasonal surprise (think bubbles in the Sunny Days Box or crayons in the Back-to-School box).

Can I order for more than one child?
Yes! You can create multiple subscriptions or one-time orders so each child gets shoes in their correct size and style (and in their own personalized box).
What if I don't know my child's size?
No worries—gift cards are a great option, or you can use our sizing resources to help parents measure at home.
Sustainability & Giving Back
Do you have any sustainability initiatives?
Yes! At Fitted, we’re building sustainability into everything we do—because great shoes shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense.
How do you reduce waste?
We “unbox” each pair and ship them neatly together in one colorful Fitted box. That means less weight, less waste, and less surface area to ship—all while keeping the experience fun and gift-like.
Can I donate my child’s outgrown shoes?
Absolutely. We’ve partnered with [Soles4Souls] to give gently worn shoes a second life. Families can also donate to a nonprofit of their choice. Just email us your donation confirmation and we’ll send you $10 off your next 3-shoe box or $5 off your next 2-shoe box.
Do your brand partners focus on sustainability?
Yes. We intentionally partner with brands that are leading the way in eco-friendly practices—like using recycled materials, vegan fabrics, and natural components (such as green tea extracts for deodorizing).
